Spring is coming!

And the Smithsonian American Art Museum invites you to experience all things Cherry Blossom, Saturday March 20th, in their virtual event in partnership with the National Cherry Blossom Festival.

“Join us for a virtual program full of springtime fun for the whole family. Enjoy a lively performance of traditional Japanese Taiko drumming by the group Nen Daiko. Then learn more as the group demonstrates how they plan their performances and design their own instruments. Explore art, nature, and color with SAAM‘s docents in the new virtual edition of our popular Art Cart series.”

They have even more family activities in their Family Zone. Both upcoming (making your own cherry blossom-inspired creations for Children aged 3 to 8, Saturday, March 27th) – and from previous years which include crafting, coloring, knitting – and music.
