Brunch, Egg Hunt, Smoothies & Ice Cream – April at the Community Center

It’s April – and our Community Center continues to have fun things for you!

Note: All these Friday treats, have treats!

And on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as always, there’s Tournament Tuesdays and Matinee Movie Wednesdays.

You can join your friends and neighbors at the Community Center this month for:

Spring Brunch (for Adults):
Friday, April 7th
Time: 1:00PM to 3:30PM

Enjoy our third annual “Spring Brunch”.

Easter Egg Hunt (for Kids)
Friday, April 14th
Time: 3:30PM to 4:30PM

Kids are invited to the Easter Egg Hunt. Eggs will be hidden throughout the Community Center as well as on our outdoor patio (weather permitting). Prizes will be awarded to those who find the most eggs! Snacks will be served.

Fresh Smoothies (for Adults):
Friday, April 21st from
Time: 3:00PM to 4:30PM

Healthy blended fruit smoothies will be served, accompanied by a discussion of the health benefits of each fruit.

Ice Cream & Bubbles (for Kids)
Friday, April 28th
Time: 3:30PM to 4:30PM

Bubble-making machines and Ben & Jerry’s assorted flavors of ice cream will make for a fun filled afternoon. Weather permitting, this event will be held on the Community Center outdoor patio.

Paint, Sing & Spring – March at the Community Center

March brings spring! Which is reason alone to sing. March is also the month with an exciting Irish celebration. And our Community Center, as always, has plenty of fun things in store!

Ongoing, enjoy Tournament Tuesdays and Matinee Movie Wednesdays.

And join your friends at the Community Center this month for:

Karaoke (for Adults)
Friday, March 3rd
Time: 3:00PM to 4:30PM

Sing your favorite songs, while enjoying tasty dessert treats such as home made brownies, etc.

Spring Themed Beads Arts and Crafts (for Kids)
Friday, March 10th
Time: 3:00PM to 4:30PM

Kids receive spring themed beads to create one-of-a-kind personalized spring themed bracelets. Freshly squeezed orange juice and snacks will be served.

St. Patrick’s Day Decorations (for Adults)
Friday, March 17th
Time: 3:00PM to 4:30PM

With St. Patrick’s Day fast approaching, join friends and neighbors in decorating the Community Center. Coffee, tea and snacks will be served.

Finger Painting (for Kids)
Friday, March 24th
Time: 3:00PM to 4:30PM

More creative kid fun! Kids will be provided with finger paints, and other arts and crafts materials essential to create colorful spring paintings. Paintings will be displayed in the children’s play area of the Community Center!

Cards, Cookies, Karaoke – February at the Community Center

Make cards, make cookies, play with bubbles, share a poem. There’s lots happening at the Community Center in February!

Valentine’s Card Making (for Adults)
Friday, February 3^rd
Time: 3:00PM to 4:30PM

Create Valentine-themed cards to gift to friends and loved ones. Art supplies will be provided – and coffee and tea will be served.

Valentine Themed Cookie Decorating (for Kids)
Friday, February 10^th
Time: 3:00PM to 4:30PM

Kids will decorate Valentine themed cookies. Hot cocoa will be served.

Karaoke and Bubble Party (for Kids)
Friday, February 17^th
Time: 3:00PM to 4:30PM

Sing favorite songs, while blowing bubbles and enjoying tasty treats.

Share A Poem (for Adults)
Friday, February 24^th
Time: 3:00PM to 4:30PM

Bring in a favorite poem to share for an afternoon of good discussion.

Come all ye little ghouls and princess witches! The uncontested favorite event of Waterside kids, past and present, the Waterside Plaza Annual Halloween Party is BACK this Thursday, October 31, 6-8PM! As usual, there will be games and treats galore, and admission is free. Those who welcome trick-or-treaters this year can print this WELCOME sign and put it on their door!
