Puppet & Muppets are here to help!
Saturday, June 11 is a fun-filled bonanza (funaza?) here at Waterside Plaza!
Five exciting events are happening on the Plaza: Our Arts, Crafts & Flea Market, Cat love, Goodwill donating, Electronic recycling – designed so you can enjoy your day and do good.
There’s also a puppet show!
Waterside Arts, Crafts & Flea Market: 10AM – 2PM
Outside on the Plaza, discover great bargains, arts, crafts, baked goods, one-of-kind gifts, gently used household items, and everything in between, at our hugely popular community market!
As always, residents and friends of our large and diverse community will present an ever-surprising array of arts and crafts, jewelry, vintage clothing and accessories, and baked goods for sale. This is one of our most popular community events–it’s always a good time with plenty of great finds. Admission is free and open to the public.
Interested in selling at Waterside’s annual market? Vendor registration is now open and there are a limited number of booth tables available. Registration Link: wsp.link/wspmarket2016 Please pre-register by June 7, to reserve a space with a table and chairs.
We welcome everyone, and especially encourage the participation of artists and those who create unique, one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted items. Traditional flea market fare is also always a big hit. Spaces cost $10 for vendors who will be setting up on the ground (or bringing their own tables and chairs) and $25 for vendors who would like a table and chairs included with their space. Tables are limited. (Note: Check-In Time: 9AM, June 11; Check-In Location: Outside on the Plaza, in front of 30 Waterside Plaza.)
Cat Adoption Event: 10AM – 2PM
Get ready to sigh, swoon and cuddle! Outside on the Plaza, in front of 30 Waterside Plaza, City Critters will have some adorable cats to make your Caturday extra delightful.
City Critters simplifies the adoption process by bringing cute, cuddly kittens, mellow, older cats and every cat personality in between to Waterside Plaza. Visit the cats! And meet adoption counselors who will help you find the perfect cat for your family.
Puppet Show: 10:30AM
(Rain Date: Sunday, June 12, 10:30AM)
Also, outside on the Plaza, kids and parents alike will be entertained by the classic story of Goldilocks & the Three Bears, infused with WonderSpark Puppets’ modern blend of humor and creativity. Admission is free and open to the public. (Seating is limited. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome.)
Donate to Goodwill: 10AM – 2PM
Have clothes or other items you’re not using? Get them out of your way and into the hands of people who can use them.
Drop off your items for Goodwill (outside, next to Building 10) – and feel lighter and more helpful!
Electronic Recycling: 10AM – 2PM
It’s free and easy to do – and you aren’t adding waste to landfills! The Lower East Ecology Center will be on the Plaza (outside, in front of 10 Waterside Plaza) from 10AM – 2PM collecting cellphones, printers, PDAs, TVs, DVD players, computers and other household electronic equipment for environmentally-friendly recycling. See list of acceptable tech gear here. (Tax receipts are available upon request.)
