As you know, Solar One does exceptional work. It manages Stuyvesant Cove Park – and much more:
It’s New York City’s Green Energy Education Center and an award-winning organization with a thriving array of programs promoting urban sustainability and education that reach all five boroughs.
Celebrate Solar One programs at their Oktoberfest 2019: On October 2nd, enjoy Oktoberfest beer, delicious Bavarian food, oompah music and all the trimmings of a traditional Munich Oktoberfest.
“For over 15 years, Solar One has been leading New Yorkers toward a more sustainable future, through our community solar initiatives, innovative programs in public and private schools, our workforce training program, the ongoing maintenance and development of Stuyvesant Cove Park and even the events we run here. Now we stand at the cusp of that future, with clean, locally-produced energy within the reach of every New Yorker.
And it seems fitting to celebrate this success with a Bavarian-style Oktoberfest party. Despite being situated north of the US, Germany has been an early adopter and strong leader in the push for solar power renewable energy, leading the way for everyone else in the developed world. So come drink a toast to solar power!”
And 100% of your ticket price or donation will be used to expand Solar One’s award winning programs.
Early Bird tickets are available until September 15th.
If you live at Waterside, the event is just a few blocks away: At Stuyvesant Cove Park (23rd street and the East River)!
