Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater (aka Pregones/PRTT), founded in 1979, has, as its mission:

“To champion a Puerto Rican/Latinx cultural legacy of universal value through creation and performance of original plays and musicals, exchange and partnership with other artists of merit, and engagement of diverse audiences”.

Pregones was established by a group of artists to create new works in the style of Caribbean and Latin American “colectivos” or performing ensembles – and was one of the first bilingual theater companies in the U.S.

This multi-generational performing ensemble, multi-discipline arts presenter, and owner/steward of bilingual arts facilities in The Bronx and Manhattan, bring their stage – and some greenery – to you in the form of “Stage Garden Rumba Digital“. Stage Garden Rumba is two-time winner of The Lincoln Center Cultural Innovation Fund.

Their shared message is one of rootedness, celebration, and collective uplift.

Live flash pop-up performances, with over 30 artists, were captured on film and edited into 30-minute programs.

Next shows on Monday, November 30th, and December 7th at 7:30PM.
