Noshes in the Neighborhood

Wanting to shake up your neighborhood noshing?

Kips Bay and nearby boasts a plethora of food options to make that happen! These two have received a fair bit of fanfare:

Simon & The Whale (23 Lexington Avenue, at Freehand New York)

This American restaurant with global flavors is on Time Out New York’s list of “100 Best New York Restaurants“, with its head baker and pastry chef a winner of Eater’s 2019 Young Gun Awards.

Tip from TimeOut: “Baker Zoe Kanan’s black bread is worth the trip in itself”

Pio Pio 7 (210 E 34th St, near 3rd Ave )

Pio Pio is known for its Peruvian-style rotisserie chicken – and, as NYMag explains, there’s a good reason for that: “Peruvian rotisserie birds at this branch of the Queens-based chicken chainlet are marinated for 12 hours in a mixture of cumin, garlic, Peruvian beer, and a few other key ingredients the owners prefer to keep a trade secret.”
