National Dog Day is this month (August 26th).
And to celebrate, The Good Dog Foundation’s therapy dog came for a visit to the Community Center last Friday!
Founded in 1998, The Good Dog Foundation provides therapy dog services to people in health care, social service, educational, and community facilities in the greater New York metro area, and at disaster sites around the country, in order to ease human suffering and promote recovery from trauma and stress using animal-assisted therapy services.
Good Dog holds their volunteer teams to a high standard and they directly train and supervise their volunteers and animals – which is why their services are recognized as among the most innovative and reliable in the United States.
