Explore Art Deco: In NYC Neighborhoods, Movies – and Worldwide

Art Deco Architecture in Mumbai

We had the pleasure of having an Art Deco Society of New York talk here last year.

If you enjoyed that event, ADSNY currently has presentations via Zoom, which:

“include a live PowerPoint, presented by distinguished experts-––with wonderful images that you will be able to see directly on your computer screen, tablet, or mobile device-––as well as a Q&A session with participants, just like the format of our in-person talks.”

Their movie nights transport you to the 1930s-1940s with a glamorous Hollywood feature where experts in the golden age of cinema screen and discuss the films. Next up: “A Free Soul” (on Monday, July 6th).

Other July presentations focus on a Telling the Art Deco Story of Bay Ridge (Thursday, July 16), part of their Stories of our Neighborhood program, and Mumbai: Art Deco Jewel of India (Sunday, July 26), part of their Destination Deco series.

They’ve also recorded recent events, so you can also explore the Art Deco of Sunnyside, Brighton Beach, and The Grand Concourse.
