A Year-Round Schedule of Concerts, Movies, and Fun Events
It’s so rare in Manhattan to have such a large open space right outside your door. The two-acre landscaped plaza is the heart of the social life at Waterside, the gathering place for a world-class community. A year-round schedule of concerts, movies, and fun events make it easy to connect. But more than the scheduled events, it’s the everyday luxury of this casual physical space that naturally brings people together. Residents are drawn out of doors to enjoy the sun, stroll, watch the children play, grab a snack, browse the Web, or just catch the river breeze and watch the changing light.

Waterside’s 40th Anniversary
On Thursday, September 19, 2013 Waterside celebrated 40 years as one of New York City’s most unique communities. Since Waterside opened its doors to tenants in 1973, the complex has been home to one of the most diverse populations in the city, and now boasts potentially the most international community in Manhattan, housing 200 U.N. employees and residents from 62 countries.
Visit with neighbors and enjoy free snacks and coffee every day. Our Community Center features flat screen HDTVs, a reading room and separate areas for children and adults.
