Enjoy and make music – all month!

Get ready for a myriad of music events this month!

June was recently officially declaredNew York Music Month” by Mayor de Blasio!

New York Music Month

This initiative provides everyone with hundreds of free (and ticketed) concerts, as well as some walking tours, and offers musicians thousands of hours of free rehearsal space,  conferences and workshops, and an online toolkit to help them with the business side.

And on the first day of summer (Wednesday June 21st) Make Music New York celebrates their 11th year, with a full day of music events:

“a unique festival of 1,000+ free concerts in public spaces throughout the five boroughs of New York City… MMNY takes place simultaneously with similar festivities in more than 750 cities around the world – a global celebration of music making.”

And, if you are a musician, there are still opportunities to participate! They are looking for acoustic musicians who do not require amplified sound, and for musicians that want to join in one of their  Mass Appeal Concerts.
