Senses of Springtime: Celebrate India! at The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Our favorite thing about New York? Everything and everyone is here…and nowhere can you see that better than at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, which presents its latest global festival, Senses of Springtime: Celebrate India! this Sunday, May 17, 1-5PM. The Met has partnered with some of the best organizations in the city to bring you an immersive experience that includes a real Bollywood dance workshop, traditional music from sitarist Neel Mugai and tabla master Shivalik Ghoshal, Indian cooking with Iron Chef Jehangir Meht, and, of course, incredible art–special exhibition Sultans of Deccan, India: Opulence and Fantasy is on view until July 26, 2015. There will also be a special 3D architecture experience in conjunction with The Children’s Museum of Manhattan so bring the family–it’s a great way to introduce the kids to the world.
