Dubbed "the most psychedelic light show of all time," by Rolling Stone magazine, The Joshua Light Show is one of the trailblazing legends of visual art in live music. Since the 1960s, group founder and multimedia media artist Joshua White has been creating live candy-colored projections behind the greatest bands of the era, such as The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and The Doors at legendary venues, including Woodstock. Now, the Joshua Light Show returns to our neighborhood at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, September 13-16, for four evenings of mind-bending art in collaboration with acclaimed and avante garde musicians of our time, including Lou Reed and Milford Graves. You can see the full performance schedule and purchase tickets at the NYU Skirball Center website. Our residents who are NYU graduate students can get a special discount on ticket prices by logging in here.
